The Xiamen-Shenzhen High Speed Railway, scheduled to open on Dec 28, is expected to bring a new peak passenger flow to the popular coastal city of Xiamen, Fujian province, and its Tourism Bureau is preparing well with new ways to cope with possible problems, cnta.gov.cn reports.

The Xiamen-Shenzhen High-speed Railway will mean increased speed for travelers, with Xiamen set to profit more. The city of Xiamen will do its best to promote tourism cooperation to become a center of the Haixi tourism economic circle.

It will also push tourism integration with the cities of Zhangzhou and Quanzhou and will continue to improve its tourism products and speed up the construction of new scenic spots and push rural and ecological tourism.

In the case of a tourist surge, it will promote public service facilities and standardize its hotels and A-level attractions.
