Zhongguancun Dongcheng Science Park launched a comprehensive public service platform for the online game industry during the 9th International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF), which was held from Nov 7 to 10.

The platform - with initial registered capital of 60 million yuan ($9.84 million) - is expected to attract about 100 game development teams and produce more than 100 online game products by the end of 2015. Its total revenue is expected to reach about 2 billion yuan by the end of 2017.

The platform is co-sponsored by Beijing Hangxing Technology Development Co, Beijing culture investment development center, Beijing Culture Technology Financing Guarantee Co and Beijing Jinggangyou Science and Technology Co.

The latter - the only private enterprise of the platform's sponsors, and boasting world-class online game 3D engine technology - can provide engine support for the development of a variety of online games.

Online game entrepreneurial teams and companies joining the platform will be able to share their technology, which will greatly reduce the time and costs normally associated with the development of such games.

In addition, the Beijing culture investment development center and Beijing Culture Technology Financing Guarantee Co are municipal cultural financial conglomerates, and they can provide various forms of financial support for the teams and companies.
