The Zhongguancun Detached Tribunal of Haidian Court announced its establishment on April 26. The court will serve high-tech enterprises and deal with intellectual property lawsuits in Zhongguancun Science Park.

There are tens of thousands of high-tech enterprises in Zhongguancun. The amount of intellectual property lawsuits received by Haidian Court has been increasing at a rate of 20 percent each year since Zhongguancun Science Park (Z-Park) opened in 2009.

Hence, Haidian Court established the Zhongguancun Detached Tribunal to better serve the development of Z-Park's core zone, further increase judgment efficiency and promote protection for intellectual property. The tribunal will concentrate on personal rights violations, business franchise lawsuits and civil cases in Zhongguancun.
