Zhong Shengping, General Manager of Essen Technology (Beijng) Company Limited
Zong Shengping specialized in research and development and production of medical apparatus and instruments at Boston Scientific, a well-known transnational company. He served as senior engineer, project director and senior manager of the company's R&D department.
He obtained nearly 30 American patents during his 13 years working at Boston Scientific. He developed the first generation of drug-eluting stents (DES), cardiovascular catheters, guide wires, artificial blood-vessels and other apparatus.
He and other overseas returnees established Essen Technology (Beijing) Company Limited. He simultaneous serves as visiting research fellow at the Biological Materials & Tissue Engineering Center, Academy for Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies, Peking University.
