Wu Daohong studied Solid Rocket Science at the National University of Defense Technology in 1984 and enrolled as a postgraduate studies in Liquid Rocket Science in 1988.

Wu Daohong studied Solid Rocket Science at the National University of Defense Technology in 1984 and enrolled as a postgraduate studies in Liquid Rocket Science in 1988. He graduated with a doctorate in Aircraft Engine Studies at the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1994.

Over the past decade, Wu has been engaged in the research of solid rockets, liquid rockets and aircraft engines. He has applied for 17 national patents and owns a combustion and energy conservation company called, Beijing Shenwu Environment & Energy Technology Corp. This company is one of the most mature operations in China. Wu has also become one of the youngest experts in the field of combustion and energy conservation in the country.

"It is my research direction and job to make combustion more energy-efficient," said Wu.
