On May 11, Jingxian county in Anhui province was officially announced as a national photography base for the China Photo Press newspaper.
With more than two thousand years of history, Jingxian is rich in cultural heritage. There are five national-level protection buildings, such as Chaji ancient buildings and 10 provincial-level protection buildings such as Xiyuang theatrical stage. Jingxian also boasts rich intangible cultural heritages. It's the world-known hometown of China's Xuan paper, hometown of China's Xuan brush pens, and hometown of China's wooden combs.
As a national model green county, Jingxian represents the beautiful landscape of South Anhui. It is home to famous scenic spots including Taiping Lake, Peach Flower Pool, and Moon Bay.
