Anhui Tourism Bureau recently launched its Anhui Tourism APP, which gives smartphone users local tourism information on demand.
The new APP includes news, food, hotels, attractions, transportation, shopping, entertainment, recommended routes, and electronic map sections. Tourists can not only fully check the latest Anhui tourism information, check 16 city attractions, and recommended routes, but also have the chance to generate self-driving routines of their own.
According to developers, the newly launched App is only the first version and they plan to add online payments, reviews and comments sections in the next update.
With a developing economy, more and more people choose to travel by car. In this regard, Anhui Tourism Bureau will launch key self-driving routes, publish self-drive manuals, invite self-drive clubs in neighboring provinces to visit Anhui, and organize a self-drive products purchasing fair.
In 2013, an "Anhui citizens travel Anhui" campaign was launched. A number of scenic spots in the province provided discounts to locals in a bid to encourage local residents to travel within the province more and to enjoy the beauty of Anhui. This year, the Anhui Tourism Bureau is encouraging more interactions and cooperation between cities and expanding weekend leisure tours, ecological and cultural tours, study tours, rural tours, family driving tours , elders' tours, seasonal picking tours, shopping tours and Red Army tours.
This year, Anhui's tourism development objectives include 4.3 million inbound tourists, 378 million domestic tourists, and 343 billion yuan ($55.1 million) in tourism revenues. To meet these targets, Anhui will promote its tourism resource by focusing on its four transport methods – its high-ways, aviation, high-speed rail, and cruising.
In recent years, more and more Anhui tourists have beenvisiting Thailand and South Korea through chartered flights and at the same time, more and more South Korean tourists are traveling to Anhui through chartered flights which is an effective way for Anhui to expand its East and Southeast Asias markets.
A spokesman for Anhui Tourism Bureau said that this year Anhui will cooperate with famous travel agencies abroad to promote its tourism products and to increase its international exposure.
