Rainbow Falls on Dabie Mountain in Yuexi county has been listed as a national 4A scenic spot, along with 47 other scenic spots, according to an announcement issued by the National Scenic Spots Quality Grade Evaluation Committee. It is the third scenic spot in Yuexi that has won this honor.
In recent years, the Yuexi government has been promoting the prosperous development of the tourism industry by utilizing resource advantages.
Rainbow Falls lies inside Huangwei town, north of Yuexi county and 1.5 kilometers away from the Huangwei exit of Jiguang Highway. The scenic spot covers an area of 4,000 hectares. The core scenic spot area extends 3.2 square kilometers.
Characteristic scenic spots include Rainbow Falls and the original Monkey River Canyon. The scenic spot required the least development time and had the most momentum among all spots in Yuexi county.
