Chizhou will build two 5A scenic spots and strive for 4A scenic spots in 2013. The city plans to see domestic and foreign visitors total 33.8 million annually, which would earn 33.8 billion yuan ($5.43 billion).
The normal operation of Jiuhuashan Airport will be guarded before May Day holiday and international direct charter flights will be opened at the earliest possible time. Furthermore, Chizhou will take the opportunity to upgrade geographic traffic advantages to promote the construction of the South Anhui International Cultural Tourism Area.
It will start the construction of another two 5A scenic spots in 2013. Jiuhuashan Airport is about 20 kilometers away from both Chizhou and Jiuhuashan Scenic Spot. It will form an “air corridor” with Huangshan Airport after it completes construction.
