Huangshan in Anhui province is one of the Top 10 tourist cities in China in 2010, according to an online poll conducted on the website of China Radio International.
The contest, which attracted nominations of more than 80 cities, was sponsored by the News Office of the State Council and National Tourism Administration. Participants voted on “the most recommended tourist cities in China”.
In addition to Huangshan, the other Top 10 cities are Harbin, Hangzhou, Jinan, Kashgar, Lijiang, Luoyang, Sangya, Suzhou and Xi’an.
An award ceremony will be held Dec 28 at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Invited guests will include government officials of the selected cities, tourism experts, diplomatic envoys, and representatives of Chinese and foreign media groups.
