The China-Eurasia Renzu Mountain Ancestor Worship Cultural Tourism Festival opened Oct 16 in the Censer Square, Maren Mountain scenic area, Fanchang county, Wuhu city, Anhui province.
The festival includes a series of praying and blessing activities. There will be a sacred flame, holy water and sacred soil collecting ceremony, a fingerprint-leaving activity, and ethnic music and dance performances.
Sponsored by Fanchang county government, the festival brings together nearly 3, 000 people, including relevant leaders at all levels, chairman of Anhui Overseas Friendship Association, chairman of all chambers of commerce, chief of the travel agencies in the Yangtze River Delta, presidents of renowned schools, journalists and visitors from all parts of the country.
The manager of Maren Mountain Scenic Area said that this cultural festival celebrates the third anniversary of the foundation of the first censer under heaven and the 13th anniversary of the excavation of the herringbone cave in Fanchang, the earliest cultural relics of ancient people ever found in Eurasia.
Maren Mountain Scenic Area officials are trying to establish its brand image by combining the herringbone cave and the first censer under heaven to transform the scenic resort into an area of ancestor worship and health preservation.
