| Jiaogang Lake |
One km south of Maoji town, the scenic area is designated as China's Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Area and the Demonstration Area of Happy Farmhouse Tour in Anhui province.
Jiaogang Lake is noted for its delicious food, flourishing reeds and beautiful lotuses. It abuts the Maoxian Cave and Bagong Mountain in the east and the famous historic and cultural city of Shouxian county in the south. These combine to form a unique golden tourism triangle of the mountain, water and city. The scenic area provides many interesting leisure items, such as fishing, exploring around Shallow Reed Lake, picking water chestnuts by boat, watching birds in the lake and experiencing the daily life of fishermen. Visitors can eat and lodge in fishermen's house and do the work of fishermen. Other tourist attractions in the scenic zone include the Huaihe River Valley Folklore Museum, Peasants' Park, Fishing Center and Lotus Lake.
