The Tomb of Li Bai (701-762), a great romantic poet of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), lies at the foot of Qingshan Mountain, 20 km southeast of Ma'anshan city. Backing against Qingshan Mountain and facing the Qingshanhe River, the tomb is surrounded by a beautiful enviroment.

The tomb was built in the shape of a dome by piling up square stones. Covering an area of six hectares and consisting of the front, middle and rear sections, it has become a well-known cultural tourist attraction where people can make research on Li Bai and his poems, appreciate the callibraphic works and enjoy the art of gardening.
The front section consists of a stone memorial archway, a paved path with, on either side, 12 wall paintings illustrating Li Bai's life, the Taibai Stele Forest, the Tiaoqing Pavilion and Qinglian Lake. Of these, the Taibai Stele Forest contains 106 individual steles with inscriptions of Li Bai's classic poems written by famous calligraphers.
The middle section is the Taibai Temple, housing a white marble statue of Li Bai and a tablet from the Song Dynasty (960-1279). This tablet is inscribed with the records of Li Bai's life and literary achievements in detail.
The rear section is composed of Lansheng Pavilion, Taibai Woods, Qinglian Academy of Classical Learning, Shiyong Pavilion, and the Garden of Miniature Landscapes.
