Inspired by the Solar Divine Bird totems, which were unearthed from the Shang and Zhou Dynasties of ancient China, the logo of the China Pavilion consists of bird wings and sun flares arranged in a clockwise order. Closely linked with the theme of the pavilion, the design highlights the cultural, technological and green ideas. As a symbol of the Chinese nation’s persistent pursuit for brightness and progress, it may also remind visitors of the new ideas and achievements China has put forth in terms of transition of the traditional energy sector, development of new energy, green and eco-friendly operation, sustainable development, etc

Main Thread and Core Ideas The exhibitions at China Pavilion are designed around the theme of “Future Energy and Green Silk Road”. With regard to contents, they display the past, present and future and connect them as the main thread. Easy to understand and up to international standards, they offer a full picture about China’s new ideas and progresses in the transition of the traditional energy industry, development of new energy, green and eco-friendly operation, and sustainable development as well as its practical partnerships in energy, economy and trade with countries along the “Belt and Road” like Kazakhstan and even other countries all over the world.

Theme

The theme of China Pavilion is "Future Energy, Green Silk Road". Maximizing on this opportunity, China will fully demonstrate its energy development proposition and thoughts on future energy development.

Significance

Kazakhstan is a crucial participating country for China to carry out the “Belt and Road” initiative and also push forward its capacity cooperation drive. The year of 2017 marks the 25th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between the two countries.At the same time, it is also the year of Chinese tourism. State leaders on both sides have declared their consensus about China’s support for Kazakhstan’s hosting the Expo on many occasions.

Activity arrangement

During the Expo, an array of diversified activities will take place in China Pavilion. To echo with the "Belt and Road" initiative, the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Kazakhstan and the Year of Chinese Tourism, a series of large events will be held to promote the all-round exchanges and cooperation between the two sides, including an opening ceremony at the pavilion, China Pavilion Day, a China-Kazakhstan Energy Cooperation Forum and a China-Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs Committee’s Energy Conference, a China-Kazakhstan Tourism Cooperation Forum, and a Qin Terracotta Warriors and Horses Exhibition.
