Northeast China’s Jilin province is targeting achieving steady economic growth, according to news conference held by the Information Office of the Jilin Provincial Government on Jan 20.

According to the announcement, the province will seek steady development in employment, finance, foreign trade, attracting foreign investment and in investment.

Jilin put forward 20 measures to stabilize industrial production, attract investment, expand consumer spending, and more.

According to officials, the province is encouraging companies to expand production.

It is also supporting key trade companies to expand their business, offering sales promotions during the upcoming Spring Festival and encouraging more cultural and art activities.

The province also plans to give more support to its manufacturing industry and offer reduced taxes. It will encourage an acceleration in the development of its ice and snow economy, launching more than 600 winter activities.

The province will also give awards to those companies whose first quarter imports and exports achieved year-on-year growth, according to officials.
