Miaoxiangshan Ski Resort in Changchun, capital of Jilin province, is one of the best ski fields in China for winter sport enthusiasts.

Both beginners and experts can enjoy skiing here.

The highest peak in the Miaoxiangshan Ski Resort, which is also the tallest peak near Changchun, is 497 meters high.

There will be 43 Alpine ski runs in the resort and total snow coverage will reach 1.08 square meters according to the planning. To date, 15 runs have been opened.

Resort head Wang Yong said the resort will update facilities such as building its first high-speed hanging-bucket cableway in 2018 to improve tourists' skiing experience.

"Evening skiing is also a highlight this year, which will offer a special skiing experience for visitors," he added.

In addition to traditional ice and snow activities like mazes and treasure hunts, many new events have been developed including an ice slide and an ice dragon boat competition.

The Resort will continue to develop new ice and snow events to expand its industrial chains and contribute to the growth of Changchun's ice and snow industry.
