Kelly Brook says she's a bling babe and a Krispy Kreme
addict. Here she shares her fashion tips:
Kelly Brook, 27, grew up in Rochester before studying at the Italia Conti Stage School in London for three years. Her career began as a professional model, later moving into television presenting and acting. Most recently she has turned her hand to designing and modeling a collection of lingerie for New Look. Brook lives in Hollywood with her fiance, the actor Billy Zane.
Are you more comfortable wearing a dress or a pair of jeans?
I love wearing dresses, particularly Moschino's whimsical 1950s designs and Diane von Furstenburg's wrap dresses. I try not to wear jeans as it feels like such an easy option to take - the only time I ever really wear them is when I'm visiting my parents at the weekend, or I’m in the countryside.
Do you have a stylist?
I work with different stylists for various shoots, but from day to day I pick my own clothes. And I have a good friend Marcello Martinelli, who is a stylist and will help me out with red carpet events.
How would you describe your style?
Classic, feminine and sexy. I adore that whole 1950s glamour, a time when women made an effort with every element of their appearance. I try and do my hair and nails properly when I go out and I love wearing bright red lipstick - looking glamourous is very important to me.
What's your definition of style?
Someone who knows their own body shape and makes the most of their best assets. I believe style is about making an effort with yourself and feeling good about the results.
Who do you admire from a fashion standpoint?
Anyone who is confident and comfortable with their own style, and specific in their choices - regardless of what fashion dictates.
Who are your favourite designers?
Balenciaga have some stunning coats this season, and their clothes are beautifully structured. Moschino designs are so charming and feminine, and I adore Lanvin for the pure luxury. And for shoes, nothing beats Christian Louboutin stilettos. What is your favourite item of clothing?
A leopard print bra and knickers set from my new
collection for New Look. It is a bold choice but it fits beautifully and the set
looks fantastic with a pair of heels.
