“生育高峰”怎么說？

根據(jù)上海人口計(jì)生委預(yù)測，2008年上海常住人口出生將達(dá)到17.5萬人左右，將迎來新一輪的生育小高峰。那么，“生育高峰”怎么說呢？

According to a report by the Shanghai municipal population and family planning commission, by the end of the year, some 160,000 babies will have been born in the city, about 20 percent up on last year.
Xie Lingli, director of the family planning commission said after more than a decade of low birthrates, the city is now expecting a mini baby boom. The fact 2007 was an auspicious year (of the pig) had led to a spike in the number of babies born. Many couples believe it is good luck to have a child in the Year of the Pig.
根據(jù)“2007年上海市人口出生預(yù)報(bào)及有關(guān)調(diào)查分析結(jié)果”顯示，持續(xù)10年的低出生率之后，上海已經(jīng)進(jìn)入新一輪生育小高峰。預(yù)計(jì)至2007年末，全市常住人口出生將超過16萬人，增幅達(dá)到20%左右。市人口計(jì)生委主任謝玲麗說，2007年又是民間所謂的“金豬年”，不少夫妻選擇在“金豬年”生育，這是造成今年出生人口增加的原因之一。
生育高峰有很多種表達(dá)如“spike in birthrate / spike in the number of babies born / peak in the birthrate / baby boom。
