6月8日晚，朝鮮外務省副相金桂冠在接受美國ABC電視臺采訪時，公開承認朝鮮正在繼續(xù)制造核武器的事實，并表示朝鮮“有足夠的核武器來應付美國的攻擊”。但是當被問及是否擁有可打擊美國的導彈，金做出不置可否的反應。外電報道如下：North
Korea has a stockpile of nuclear bombs and is building more such weapons,
the country's vice foreign minister Kim Gye Gwan said in a US television
interview.
"I
should say that we have enough nuclear bombs to defend against
a US attack," the North Korean official told ABC News when asked how
many nuclear bombs it possessed.
Asked whether Pyongyang was building more nuclear bombs, Kim said:
"Yes."
His open admission about North Korea's nuclear weapon ambitions further
clouds efforts to bring a diplomatic resolution to the nuclear crisis
gripping the Korean peninsula.
動詞cloud 的本意是“遮蔽，被云覆蓋，使變朦朧”，例如：Mist clouded the
hills.（霧遮住了山丘。）上文中體現(xiàn)了cloud的比喻義“使陷入麻煩，產生不利影響，玷污”，例如：cloud the

另悉，在朝美兩國6日的接觸中，朝鮮要求美國承認其是“有核國家”，并給予相應待遇。
