HONG KONG - Hong Kong Exchange Fund's total assets rose by HK$900 million?($115.8 million) to HK$1.916 trillion?at the end of June, the city's Monetary Authority said Wednesday.

The Monetary Base, comprising Certificates of Indebtedness, Government issued currency notes and coins in circulation, the Aggregate Balance and Exchange Fund Bills and Notes issued, amounted to HK$1.024 trillion.

Claims on the private sector in Hong Kong amounted to HK$105.6 billion. Foreign liabilities, representing mainly obligations under repurchase agreements, amounted to HK$600 million.
