Long coats, to the calves or even the ankles, are fashion statements on their own. They provide warmth and are flattering on many body types, in particular the straight and simpler cuts.

The trend this year was to wear a long coat to the ankles. One could pair it with skinny jeans and a cropped shirt inside for contrast, or with wide-legged pants for a layering effect.
