消費(fèi)，是經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)中的永恒話題。據(jù)悉，我國第十一個(gè)五年規(guī)劃中特別指出：“要進(jìn)一步擴(kuò)大國內(nèi)需求，調(diào)整投資和消費(fèi)的關(guān)系，增強(qiáng)消費(fèi)對經(jīng)濟(jì)增長的拉動(dòng)作用?！敝袊?jīng)濟(jì)增長再一次向“消費(fèi)拉動(dòng)”轉(zhuǎn)軌。
中國日報(bào)的相關(guān)報(bào)道如下：After more than 25 years of economic growth driven by exports and fixed-asset investment, China is turning towards consumption to sustain the boom.
A survey noted a trend of moderate price drops in major consumer goods such as electrical appliances and automobiles, saying this would prod consumers to look forhigher-end products.
報(bào)道中的high-end product指的是“高端產(chǎn)品”。所謂“高端”，顧名思義，就是“高級”、“層次較高”的意思。比如，“高端市場”，high-end market，意思就是針對的消費(fèi)群體消費(fèi)層次相對較高。
報(bào)道說的是：我國主要消費(fèi)品的價(jià)格出現(xiàn)下跌趨勢，這將刺激消費(fèi)者去購買一些更為高端的產(chǎn)品。句中的pod值得注意，可解釋為stimulate。
