China to invest US$362m in medical equipment

The Chinese Ministry of Health says the government will invest over 3 billion yuan (US$362 million) this year, to purchase emergency medical vehicles and medical equipment.
The 14th International Medical Equipment; Facilities Exposition and Symposia will open September in Beijing. Medical equipment manufactures from China and overseas are invited to take part in the event.
Last year, enterprises from over 20 countries and regions took part in the expo.
The Chinese government had purchased medical equipment at a cost around 2.2 billion yuan, or 266 million US dollars, during the expo last year.
