After holiday debacle, HK Disneyland to adjust ticketing

Tuesday the theme park will likely adjust its ticket system.

His remarks came after hundreds of visitors from the Chinese mainland were
denied entry to the park during the lunar New Year after the number of visitors
exceeded the park's maximum reception capability of around 30,000 people.
According to the park's management rules, the period of vadadity for the
purchased tickets is six months, but they don't specify the exact entry day.
"The park won't cancel the sales of this kind of tickets due to its flexibility to the demand of the tourism industry," An Mingzhi,
the park's executive director said in a press conference, adding that those
tourists with tickets marked with specified entry days were more likely to
be admitted in case that the park is near to be full.
An said visitors who have bought tickets which don't tell the entry day have
the right to appeal for compensation. Expressing deep sorrow to some of the
visitors from Hong Kong and the Chinese mailand, An added that this was the
first lunar New Year that the Hong Kong dDisneyland faced since its opening last
summer.
An refused to elaborate on the number of the tourist who were denied entry
during the Sping Festival.
Some 12.5 million people from the mainland visited Hong Kong in last year,
totaling almost half of all visitors to the city that year, according to data by
the city's immigration authorities.
