McGrady's 38 help Rockets end skid

Led by James, the Raptors charged back in the final period. James hit two
early 3-pointers and Morris Peterson's 3 with 4:58 left tied it at 90.
Toronto rookie Charlie Villanueva hit two free throws with 2:38 left to give
the Raptors a 97-96 lead — their first lead of the final period. Peterson added
another 3-pointer for a 100-97 lead with 1:55 left, prompting Hawks coach Mike
Woodson to call a time-out.
On the Hawks' next possession, Villanueva drew an offensive foul on Johnson.
Darrick Martin's 3 with 55 seconds left pushed the lead to six.
Villanueva, who had 21 points and 10 rebounds in the Raptors' win at Atlanta
on Dec. 2, had only two points and two rebounds in 22 minutes.
Gasol leads Grizzlies over Warriors
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Eddie Jones scored 23 points, Pau Gasol added 21 points and
a career-high nine assists, and the Memphis Grizzlies won their fourth straight
with a 104-94 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.
Memphis, playing without injured guards Damon Stoudamire and Mike Miller,
finished with all five starters in double figures and went to the free throw
line 40 times, hitting 27. The Warriors shot only 12 free throws.
Jones was 8-of-16 from the field, including 4-of-10 outside the 3-point arc.
Bobby Jackson added 19 points, while Shane Battier scored 16 and Lorenzen Wright
12.
Jason Richardson, who struggled from the field in the first three quarters,
led the Warriors with 20 points, while reserve Derek Fisher added 18.
Troy Murphy scored 17 points and Mike Dunleavy had 10, but Baron Davis,
Golden State's second-leading scorer, was limited to seven. Golden State had its
three-game winning streak snapped.
The Warriors' reserves made it a little more interesting down the stretch
after the Grizzlies held several 20-point leads, the last coming with 5:55 left.
A 9-1 run, highlighted by a pair of 3-pointers from Richardson, got Golden State
within 12.
Richardson's basket brought the Warriors within 100-91 with 1:23 left, but
Gasol and Dahntay Jones each hit a pair of free throws for the final margin.
Memphis led 62-42 at halftime after Jackson's 3-pointer bounced on the rim
before dropping through with a second remaining. The Grizzlies shot 60 percent
in the half, and the 62 points were their most in a half this season. The 37
points in the second quarter was the most in any quarter for Memphis this year.
The Warriors shot 45 percent, but starting guards Davis and Richardson,
Golden State's top scorers, were a combined 5-of-13 from the field. The
Grizzlies shot 17 free throws in the half, while the Warriors took only four.
Memphis extended the advantage to 25 when Eddie Jones hit a 3-pointer with 4
minutes left in the third period. Golden State closed the third with a 13-4 run,
including 11 unanswered points, and cut the lead to 82-66 entering the fourth.
