North Korea hardens stance ahead of nuclear talks

U.S. envoy to meet South Korean officials
The top U.S. negotiator to talks on North Korea's nuclear program will meet
with South Korean officials Monday before the six-nation negotiations resume, a
South Korean Foreign Ministry official said Sunday.
U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Christopher Hill will meet with South
Korean Vice Foreign Minister Lee Tae-shik and Deputy Foreign Minister Song
Min-soon, who also is the South's chief negotiator to the six-party talks,
ministry spokesman Lee Kyu-hyung said.
Hill also will meet Unification Minister Chung Dong-young, Seoul's top
official in dealings with the North.
