The excellent performance of the national soccer team of Portugal in the Euro 2004 allowed it to escalate 10 positions in the ranking of the International Soccer Federation (FIFA), to the 12th place.

The Portuguese team, whose most recent result was a 1-0 defeat versus Greece in the final of the Euro 2004, last Sunday, sums 715 points and a 10-position promotion from last June.
