Beijing Zoo experts and staffs
operate an artificial insemination for giant panda "Jini" on March 20,
2004. Jini is in her oestrum and the operation lasted about 30 minutes.
Artificial insemination has proven to be an effective method to help
rare and precious wildlife reproduce. This is the first time that the
insemination process is opened to the media coverage.
