Power cut kills patient

A 30-minute power cut in a Xi'an hospital led to the death of a patient who
relied on a breathing machine, reports Huashang News.
The patient, in his 70s, began to use a breathing machine on November 7 but
on November 20, he felt difficulty in breathing as the power in the hospital was
cut at around 8:30 pm.
When supply resumed half an hour later, the patient had died. The patient's
family is holding the hospital responsible and has asked for 100,000 yuan
(US$12,000) in compensation.
