TV host breaks physical barriers

A 23-year-old woman who
stands 1.25 metres tall has been selected to anchor CCTV's youth programmes,
reports Beijing Times.
Jiang Songling was diagnosed with congenital dwarfism when she was four years
old. Despite her physical limitations, the young woman has retained an
optimistic outlook all her life.
She had been working at a factory in the Chaoyang District earning just over
300 yuan (US$36) a month since 2001 when she graduated from a vocational school
for the disabled.
Earlier this year, Jiang applied to become the anchor of a cartoon programme.
She finally won the post after four interview sessions.
