kicks off in Beijing
One of the most established international plastic and
rubber trade shows in China, the 17th International Exhibition on Plastics and
Rubber Industries (Chinaplas 2003) opens today at the China International
Exhibition Centre, Beijing.
The four-day show is an effective platform for
almost 700 exhibitors and over 50,000 visitors to establish direct connections
and explore business opportunities.
Organized by Adsale Exhibition Services
Ltd, and co-organized by the China Plastics Processing Industry Association and
China International Exhibition Corporation, Chinaplas 2003 is exclusively
sponsored by the European Committee of Machinery Manufacturers for the Plastics
& Rubber Industries (EUROMAP) in China.
Of the 700 exhibitors, 70 per
cent are overseas suppliers from 23 countries and regions.
Official and group
pavilions from Austria, Canada, Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United
States and Taiwan Province show their prominent presence at the
fairground.
Their participation has entrenched Chinaplas 2003 as a genuine
international plastics and rubber trade show in China and Asia-Pacific
Region.
Occupying an exhibition area of 40,000 square metres, Chinaplas 2003
is the largest ever edition since its inception in 1983.
At the show, over
300 sets of advanced machinery, including plastic processing machines, molding,
auxiliary machines, testing and control equipment, and rubber processing
equipment are displayed.
To facilitate more effective business communication
for specific industries, six product theme zones are set up, namely Auxiliary
& Testing Equipment, Chemicals and Raw Materials, Die & Mould, Drinktec
& Plastic Packaging, Rubber Equipment and Semi-finished Product.
Held
concurrently with Chinaplas 2003 are a number of symposiums which serve as an
effective channel for trade professionals to exchange the latest technology
know-how and information.
As plastics and rubber are widely applied in
various industries, it is expected that Chinaplas 2003 will attract visitors
from a wide range of industries, such as toy, automobile, building,
chemicals/daily chemicals, food and beverage, electronics, electrical
appliances, information technology, moulds and dies, packaging, plastics, rubber
and telecommunications.
