Sloped roofs to replace flat tops

The flat roofs of some of Beijing's residential buildings are to be altered
to sloping ones, reports Beijing Youth Daily.
According to the municipal government, the renovation should solve problems
such as water collecting on the roofs during the rainy season, heat escaping in
winter and buildings becoming too hot in summer, as well as improving their
appearance.
All of the residential buildings within the Third Ring Road are scheduled to
be renovated before the 2008 Olympic Games.
