Elephant wins tug of war over 30 tourists ( 2003-10-09 13:26) (China Daily)
An interesting tug of war between an elephant and human beings was held on Monday in Xi'an Zoo - and the pachyderm took the honours, reports Huashang News. The eight-year-old elephant Binbin, which weighs over 2 tons, took only two seconds to beat its rivals - 30 tourists at the zoo. Binbin is eager to win because the keeper gives it an apple for every victory, the report says.
