Illegal tags ban 'illegal tags'

Thousands of illegal tag ads stamped with the phrase "Strictly banning
illegal tag ads" have been confiscated by civil administrators in the Chaoyang
District, Beijing Morning Post reports.
The administrators came across tag ads bearing the words "State-run
enterprise with a reliable reputation", together with a seal of the Repair and
Installation Centre of the Beijing Gas Group, pasted to the walls of several
housing blocks.
But the official-looking stamps and phrases on these tag ads are not
authentic.
The Beijing Gas Group said it had not distributed such tag ads. The only
number for their repair service is 96777, while the contact number on the
counterfeit tag ads constantly changes.
Civil administrators caution citizens not to be taken in by illegal tag ads,
no matter how "official" they appear.
