Court to publish names of lax debtors

The names of individuals or
organizations who fail to fulfil court-ordered obligations, such as paying debts
in a timely manner, will be published online, the supreme court declared on
Tuesday.
Any party that fails to perform their legal duty within six months or tries
to transfer, conceal, sell or damage the property involved, will be listed on
the court's official website (www.chinacourt.org).
The court is required to notify the lax party or parties before the list is
made public.
If the debt is paid off or a recognized warranty is produced within 15 days
after notification, the name or names will not be listed on the site, reports
Beijing Evening Post.
