A PC gamer whose stock of virtual weaponry, which he won over the course of two years in an Internet game, vanished suddenly earlier this year has filed a lawsuit against the game provider, demanding 10,000 yuan (US$1,200) in compensation, reports Beijing Morning Post.

Li said he had been playing "Red Moon" for two years, earning many virtual arms and reaching a certain rank under his registered code name in the process.

When he discovered on February 17 that all of his awarded equipment had disappeared, he contacted the provider for help, but the company refused to take any responsibility for the loss.

Li decided to sue the company at the Chaoyang District People's Court, demanding the return of his virtual weapons as well as 10,000 yuan for mental anguish.

Winding way for blind now straight

A zigzagging path for the blind at Muxidi has been straightened at the urging of the municipal Party secretary, reports Beijing Morning Post.
