Project "Canal Chic - Reviving China's Heritage" aims to explore the cultural heritage and spiritual essence of the Grand Canal and combine it with the elements of China chic to write a glorious chapter of canal culture in the new era
The creative initiative "Canal Chic: Reviving China's Heritage" was launched at the China Grand Canal Museum in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province on Saturday, calling for entries of creative visual works from around the world.

As 2024 marks the 10th anniversary of China's successful bid to inscribe China's Grand Canal as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and to implement China's emphasis on the protection of cultural heritage of the Grand Canal, an animated scroll "A Memoir of the Grand Canal" was released as the opening work of the project "Canal Chic - Reviving China's Heritage".
A grand-scale online themed campaign focused on promoting the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal kicked off on Saturday in Yangzhou, East China's Jiangsu province, to mark the 10th anniversary of the world's longest man-made waterway being recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
