However, Chinese weibo user Xiaomeideshijie said: "I love ancient buildings very much and I cannot wait to visit the chamber. The purpose to renovate these buildings is to make more people have the chance to watch the cultural heritage of our ancestors. A proper and practical management plan will control the visitor number."

The open area in the Forbidden City has increased from 65 percent to 76 percent this year with three new areas have been added to the opening list.

According to a report from Xinhua News Agency, three areas of the Forbidden City will be opened to the public, including the pathways between the Duanhong Bridge and Longzong Gate, and the Archery Pavilion and the Hall of Literary Glory, as well as the Western Canal Street.
