Peng Shizeng, a 55-year-old shoemaker, makes miniature leather shoes in Jinan, East China’s Shandong province. Peng was a shoe designer at a Jinan leather shoe factory butlost his job in the 1990s as the factory went out of business due to poor management. Laid-off, Peng began to make miniature leather shoes.
