Frontzek said he almost exclusively listens to English-speaking bands though he speaks German. "I just love the sound of it. I think the sound of the English language suits music. It's that simple," he said.

Sir Simon released his first album, Battle in the spring of 2008, followed by the second, Goodnight, Dear Mind,in 2011. Sir Simon is in the studio working on itsnext releasewhile playing shows around Europe. Simon Frontzek is working as a record producer in Berlin, collaborating with many musicians and bands.

In addition to his own band, Frontzek also plays keyboards with Hamburg-based band Tomte. When he's not playing music and recording himself or other bands at a studio he runs with a friend. Frontzek also works for Ableton, a music software and development company based in Berlin.

Sir Simon will be touring China from Friday to Sept 27.
