American author Ernest Hemingway, who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1954, had an odd writing habbit: he liked to write in the early morning while standing on one foot. He said this made him feel tense and he could get his thoughts on paper quickly. Although he drank a lot, he never wrote when drunk. His works include The Old Man and the Sea, The Sun Also Rises and A Farewell to Arms. |
