A marriage certificate during the reign of the Xianfeng emperor of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) is on display at a marriage cultural festival in Ganyu county, Jiangsu province. The exhibition has on display original copies of marriage certificates spanning a century, from the Qing Dynasty to the early period of New China (1949). Visitors can see the changes that took place within China's marriage culture over a certain period of time. [Photo/icpress] |
