New technology enables subscribers to have higher-speed Internet access

The government issued fourth-generation mobile network licenses to the country's three telecom operators on Wednesday, raising the curtain for the country's 1.2 billion mobile subscribers to have a higher-speed Internet access in their palms.

"The 4G network features faster speed and a lower data traffic price. It will better meet mobile phone users' demands for high-speed Internet surfing services and help boost mobile Internet applications, such as mobile transport and logistics," the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said.
