Economists still predicting higher growth than last year

BEIJING - The euro-zone debt crisis will slow the economic recovery in Europe, but the global economy this year will do better than 2009, a group of prominent Chinese economists said.

They warned that the unfolding debt crisis will impact trade and investment activities in East Asia and Southeast Asia and then spread to China in the second half of this year.
