More donations for victims of snow-hit regions nationwide are being sought to augment the cash and necessities given by charities and other non-governmental organizations to aid victims of the disaster.

The Red Cross Society of China has been appealing for urgently needed supplies like food, medicine, blankets and winter coats for the victims, especially for those in remote and poor areas.

Cash donations are being encouraged because transportation of heavier, large supplies were limited by the heavy snow.
