The world famous Irishstep danceshow Riverdance offers fun to people spending Christmas in Guangzhou. The theatrical show, notable for its rapid leg movements while body and arms are kept largely stationary, has received standing ovations since it was first performed in a break during the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994.

Riverdance is currently on its farewell tour. It returned to the United Kingdom in 2010, 15 years after it opened at The Point Theater, in Dublin.
