Beijing will make new efforts to improve public transportation and ease traffic congestion.

Three subways will break ground this year. Bus rapid transit systems will connect subways and ground transportation. A more convenient transportation network will provide commuters with more choices during rush hour.

The government will also strengthen operation management in the taxi industry and adopt measures against unlicensed taxis.

There will be another 20,000 neighborhood parking spaces set up. The existing parking facilities will also be effectively utilized, such as parking areas in government organs, campuses and enterprises.
