A fantastic evening party with a theme of "Enjoying Happy Life in Huainan" was held on Sept 15, marking the opening ceremony of 18th Chinese Bean-curd Cultural Festival in the city located in Anhui province.

Huainan's stadium was equipped glamorously to welcome people coming from different places with the same purpose of watching this grand evening party. The whole stadium was immersed in a happy and exciting festival atmosphere.

Yang Zhenchao, Party chief of Huainan city, hosted the opening ceremony while other senior officials from provincial and local government attended it.

The cultural feast, hosted by People's Government of Huainan City, Anhui Provincial Tourism Administration and Anhui Provincial Department of Culture, attracted famous artists and singers from both sides of the Taiwan Strait to gather in Huainan, hometown of bean-curd (tofu) to stage an excellent performance. Many of them were the first time to be in the city and show their big interest in bean-curd. Tan Jing, a famous singer in China, said on the stage that tofu is her favorite food and she just can't wait to try every kind food made of it.

Bean-curd, as a medium to link a series of commercial, trade and cultural events, is attracting visitors and investors from home and abroad to Huainan.
