SHANGHAI - Two orphans who survived an earthquake that shook a Tibetan area of northwest China's Qinghai Province two weeks ago showed up at the opening ceremony of the 2010 World Expo here on Friday.

The two children, a boy and a girl both dressed in traditional Tibetan costume, appeared on the stage when the indoor show came to close in the Expo cultural center on the eastern bank of the Huangpu River.

Three other children of different colors were seen walking to the two orphans, and the five reached out their arms to hug each other.
