NEPCON exhibition held in SW China

CHENGDU -?The capital of Sichuan province hosted for the first time as a venue for NEPCON (National Electronic Packing Conference) China, the country's largest event for the SMT industry, as NEPCON West China 2010 was held in the city from Tuesday and Thursday.
More than 100 companies in the electronics manufacturing industry in the world made presence at the event, including American Tec, Ascentek, Assembleon, DAGE, First Technology, Fuji, Henkel, Hitachi, Indium, KIC, Mirtec, MYDATA, Nagoya, Nutek, Omron, Senju, Siemens and WKK China Ltd.
Analysts said that the electronics manufacturing industry had seen a rapid development in western China in recent years and Sichuan's neighbor Chongqing had shown great potential to become the "Silicon Valley" in western China.
They believe the event would play an important role in boosting the electronics manufacturing industry in the region.
NEPCON China is one of the largest and longest standing trading and sourcing platforms for the SMT industry in China. The event acts as a sourcing platform for new suppliers, provides new market information and displays the latest technologies in the electronics manufacturing industry.
